Who We Have Helped

We are a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

At the Kiwanis Club of Georgetown, we take pride in our commitment to supporting vital local initiatives. Through our fundraising efforts, we have made significant contributions to the Georgetown Hospital, ensuring that quality healthcare remains accessible to all. Our partnerships with organizations like Cancer Assistance of Halton Hills and Food 4 Kids demonstrate our dedication to providing essential services to those in need. We are also proud to support the Kiwanis Field and the Special Olympics, creating opportunities for recreation and inclusion. Join us in our mission to uplift our community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us.

Food 4 Kids Halton

OUR MISSION

To provide packages of healthy food for elementary school students with little or no access to food during the weekend and throughout the summer.

OUR VISION

While we recognize we cannot eliminate poverty or hunger in Halton, we can ensure that any child sustaining entire weekends without food, will be fed.

Acton Food Share

The Acton Foodshare was started in 1991 by group of concerned citizens led by Joan Waldie who passed away in November 2011. The Foodshare exists as a service  to contribute to the alleviation of hunger and the prevention of malnutrition for those individuals who are temporarily in need of  assistance.

Cancer Assistance of Halton Hills

Our services reflect the needs of those who seek our help. Our aim is to listen, to provide support and practical help to clients, their families and friends. We move forward with hope, kindness and determination to help our clients through cancer treatments.

Special Olympics

The Halton Hills Community of Special Olympics Ontario has over 80 registered athletes and 40 volunteers. Every facet of our community is dedicated to enriching the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.

Light Up the Hills

It started as a vision of a grand celebration for the Christmas Season. Over 100,000 sparkling lights and growing.  The Light Up the Hills Festival of Halton has been a fixture in Georgetown, Acton and Glen Williams for over 16 years.  It is entirely run by volunteers and funded by your generous donations.

Georgetown Hospital Foundation

The Georgetown Hospital Foundation builds awareness and inspires giving to raise funds for essential equipment and services for Georgetown Hospital.

Kiwanis Field

Kiwanis Field, built on the previous GDHS playing field, opened in 2016, is more than just a place to play; it is a vibrant hub for our community where friendships are forged and memories are made. This cherished space hosts a variety of sports and recreational activities, encouraging teamwork and healthy lifestyles among our youth.  By supporting Kiwanis, you are investing in the future of our children and the strength of our community.
